Congratulations to Bryan 'Doc' Mann on winning the season long RatX Cup event!

2023 RatX Cup  RESULTS

Started in 2019, the RatX Cup is our year-long points race (a la the Fedex Cup) that is based on net performance in the year’s skins games and majors. It all comes down to the 'The Playoffs' in the Fall - two events that whittle the field down to the top 16. The RatX Cup Champion will be determined in the final event.

The Champion is rewarded with a cash prize (accumulated throughout the year from each Rat game) and the handsome RatX Cup crystal trophy, affectionately nick-named The Tower of Brower after our resident statistician and spreadsheet master, Matt Brower (pictured above).  He came up with the whole idea and manages the points system (see link HERE) as well as our own handicap system based on Rat game scores.

After the first playoff round, RatX24, the players are then positioned based on their point totals throughout the year. The points are then RESET to the players' new values as shown below. Then the RatX Final (RatX16) is played to see who is crowned Champion. Mathematically, any player has a chance to win the RatX Cup.

Thanks to Matt, every game we play has meaning and added fun.
